More than 100 million voters in five states across India went to the polls in November and December 2018. The results announced on Dec 11 put the current governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the defensive: they didn’t win a single state. With national elections to be held by May 2019, the narrative has shifted in India.
For the first time in a while, the BJP no longer looks invincible. Now when the elections are near and Modi cannot impress the people of India to get the majority seats by his lame political campaigns.
As predicted by many journalists and political analyst in India that Modi will play a major Pakistan hate card near the elections to get favor of their people, this is what we have observe in past two weeks.
First we have seen the Pulwama attack which was done in Indian Occupied Kashmir in which at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) paramilitary troopers were killed and right after the 5 minutes of attack Indian Government blamed Pakistan for this attack.
In response Pakistan offered India to provide the proofs and promised to investigate but India wanted to sought out this matter illogically.
The Indian government not only initiated a diplomatic offensive against Pakistan after the attack but also held a surgical strike in morning 3.00 on 26 February 2019 on Pakistani side of LOC in Ballakot.
According to Indian Government “IAF jets pounded terror camps Balakot, Muzaffarabad Chakoti in the well-planned strike involving a fleet of IAF jets and other military jets” but the reality was something else IAF was active for last 12 days along the line of control doing aggressive maneuvers.
PAF was responding with air patrolling of the sector. The intrusion did occur with ingress of 5-6 km, but only lasted seconds because of PAF scramble and according to DG ISPR no causality has occurred.
In my opinion it was all well planned game by Modi government.
India claiming to attack Pakistan before the upcoming Indian elections is that pre-electoral strategy that will win BJP the election that at the moment it is afraid it may win but without a clear majority.
But Pakistan’s strong foreign policy will not let anything happen to the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
