Jayme Closs, a 13-year-old girl who vanished after her parents were found dead in their northwestern Wisconsin home, has been found alive, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department said.
She was found in Douglas County, Wisconsin, and a suspect was taken into custody Thursday, the Barron County, Wisconsin, Sheriff’s Department announced.
Jayme Closs’s aunt, Jennifer Smith, says her family is relieved Jayme has been found. Smith said she is hopeful she will get to see Jayme yet Thursday night.

Authorities say they have a suspect in custody and planned to release more information Friday.
A town official says a Wisconsin girl who turned up safe after being missing nearly three months was found in a small forested area of cabin-like homes about 6 miles east of the small Town of Gordon.
A citizen phoned in the information that led to Jayme’s recovery, according to police.
“We thank everyone all around for their help,” Smith said.
